Living in Ireland I thought I knew the best cycling routes in the loveliest areas. I didn't. The routes provided took us along roads I never knew existed. Always quiet, sometimes no wider than a tractor, but always ideal for cycling and with the best views around. I thought I could easily find the most welcoming of B&Bs in the most charming surroundings. I couldn't. We stayed in grand family houses, we stayed in restored stone cottages. A full Irish breakfast to set us on our way after a good nights sleep. And then it rained. Living in Ireland anybody can find rain. It enriches our forty shades of green.

The variety of the tour was much more that I had expected. Being on the coast in the morning, forest and glens in the mid-day and farmland at day’s end made me truly appreciate the Antrim Glens and Causeway Coast area. It was structured enough with documented details to give me a good comfort level but had additional flexibility with the guide’s daily sessions giving me options each day.
